TEACHING OUR HERITAGE INTO THE FUTURE
The purpose of the Comal County Sheriff’s Posse at its inception was to develop and maintain a group skilled in horsemanship and/or rescue operations, to be activated in case of an emergency. By promoting horse related activities and horsemanship, we are able to achieve our stated purpose. In these times, club activity is mostly in areas of community support through scholarships and public works. This is supported by donations and fundraising activities throughout the year. The promotion of horse related activities in a safe environment for the community and especially area youth, is a principle goal of our organization. We also contribute by buying projects from the area 4-H kids, as well as the Guadalupe and Comal County Junior Livestock Associations. Comal CountySheriff’s Posse sponsors several events throughout the year including playdays, rodoes, horseshows, fundays, circus and trailrides to name a few.
